I just got my power back on after 11 hours without. I live in Carmi Illinois we had unofficially 13" inches of rain fell in 3 hours. I live in the higher part of town and I had 6 inches water in my house. There where boats driving down the street I live on. I have lived here for years and never seen any water aproach my house. I talked to a state trooper and he said the whole town has been declared a diaster zone.

we just had an interesting weather experience here as well.... the city i live in is split evening down the "center" by a river.... anyways.... we had bright hot sunny skies on the east... and hail/5 inches of rain.... and terrible winds on the west..... you could seriously see the wall... very intersting

I have a relative in Kansas City, and it seems many people were not prepared to use the boat instead of the car to get to work...lol. Those poor unfortunate souls that just had to build next to the river..lol. The earth is warming up because of Fossil Fuel burning, it is creating a green house effect, move away from the river if ya can. And dont wade in storm water drainage, it is filthier than sewer water, high bacterial and fecal matter count.....
