Airbags (no not me dammit)
Drove my car from a narrow street and merged into a busy four lane intersection, a nice lady in a dark mercedes applied the brakes and cut me off when she herself was nearly ran over by an illegal alien in a primer grey Monte Carlo....She successfully avoided contact with him, but I couldnt stop in time and hit her rear bumper moving at about 15 mph...not fast right...but scary, I pulled over immediately and as I was executing the manuever, my damn airbag deployed, blinded and overwhelmed I had to find the curb....
My chest has a huge bruise from the steering wheel cassette for the airbag deploying, and I have abrasions and cuts where the seams and fabric of the airbag exploded against it, man it nearly knocked me out. The driver of the mercedes ran to my car and inquired about my state of health, and gave me a pair of scissors to cut my way out of the mess. Of course I got the ticket..Colorado state law. The mercedes? some parallel scratches and a bruised rubber, my car...front bumper pushed down and radiator bracket bent...but driveable.
I went to the junk yard and for 80 dollars purchased everything I needed to get the car back into true form...amazing...
In the junkyard..rows upon rows of chrysler products similiar to my Plymouth Acclaim...
I struggled this afternoon with an airbag from a newer model car...the yard man assisted me with it, giving me tips to avoid setting this bag off..lol. He told me no one pulls these old airbags off of the cars in the junkyard for this model, I inquired why, and he told me they just dont work very well, had many flaws and factory recalls...And I wondered, if that damn airbag didnt go off, I would not have the bruise and scrapes I have now, and I could have a better field of vision and not been blinded by the powder in the airbag cassette...
makes you think..

im sure glad it deployed several seconds after the accident as it seems, who would need a few ms response time in a 60mph crash anyways?

no biggie, the insurance company had more questions for her rather than me..I took pics with my digital camera, before she left, and she spoke to officer and I without uttering a complaint, but now she says..."whiplash". Colorado is a tort state..no more liability..she could sue...for 8 scratches on her rear bumper....but her boss owns the car, and he is a lawyer...sigh...and yes, they are both jewish, she made sure I knew that....uggggh.....last thing I need is a power trip from these people...just a hardworking joe trying to stay alive...but they could be absolute weeners....bastards.

In the UK if you rear-end another vehicle you are automatically at fault because you weren't keeping an appropriate distance from the vehicle in front if you couldn't stop in time....

yeah...with the tort laws this lady can sue me for the paint and the bodywork even after my insurance pays it. When they called her, she was very vague with them, now I have to produce images of my car for the adjuster to see, they consider it a minor collision but the lady is grabbing her neck now....I hate lawyers...worthless turds..IMO

sorry 'bout the accident man. But you said you got some pix right after it happened right? Use those as evidence man. People like that jewish lady piss me off too. Sue them back for insurance fraud ? lol....anybody who drives a bimmer or benz can get freakin' whiplash from a 15mph bump. Scratches on paint...yea, but not whiplash.
