And yes it is a small fire risk when ever i go near any naked flames

forum, smorum, everyday you dont smoke is another chance for your body to heal, my mother smoked till she had her first big heart attack here recently, her doctor told her to put the nasty crap away and get better. She has spent the past couple of weeks purging the accumulated tar and nicotine out of her system..
I am a non smoker and happy for it. Why pay the tobacco companies to pollute your body only to become ill and die from it..
I am not so fatalistic that I have to find a way to kill myself slowly for absolutely no benefit, and absolutely no reason.
My hat is off to you...Bravo Zulu (cool beans in military jargon)

You should try using heroin, It helped me stop smoking, or doing anything else for that matter. I don't know why they dont sell this stuff in stores...?

I think your doctor will be happy for you...
and I swear there must be a million "help me stop smoking" forums just search google.
I watched some NHS advertising and 70% or so of smokers who get help through the nhs manage to quite. I dont think you can do it on your own mate.. you need some advice and somebody to chat who managed to quit (forum or group meetings).
it aint easy being an addict and stopping. (note the word addict)
good luck!!! and all the best!

i never quit smoking...but i DID quit caffeine, which i'm guessing is almsot as hard.
so here is the only advice i can think of:
don't try and quit/change ANYTHING else until you get this under control. your body can only take so much change at once, so don't overload it. and, this will sound kind of dumb, but find something to replace it. Like, when i quit drinking caffeine i replaced it with Sobe and Fuze(juice energy drink things)

hehe speaking of caffeine i think i have a slight addiction to Cocacola.
must drink 2lt bottle every night lol
i suppose it beats drinking beer i hate beer
so only 2 bad habbits i have are cocacola and smokeing but like you said one thing at a time.
i will probably end up moveing to diet cocacola soon as it will be lot better i suppose.

I was the same way, just woke up one day and decided to see how long I could go without nicotine . Here I am 4 years later.
Caffeine isn’t even in the same solar system as trying to quit Nicotine. I chewed for 19 years and the physical addiction takes about 5-7 days to work through then it is all mental for several weeks. One day you realize, hey I don't have cravings any longer. I chewed gum and luckily, there is fake chew to put in your mouth as a pacifier.
No matter how bad it is at first, it gets worse for a couple of days, but then believe me it does get better and finally you’re over it.
