virus popups when i visit driverheaven forums
it seems to be everytime i come to these forums (not any other sites) my antivirus pops up and fixes my files.
seems to be a few files... for one the win.ini file, and a screensaver file, and an exe i belive... i forget the names of them. C:\WINDOWS\alevir.exe is one does anyone else get that? im using norton antivirus 2003 and its updated. no firewall tho, and i havent downloaded or installed anything recently. im using the firefox browser 0.9.2 version. |

You have gotten some virus on your system but hardly from this site. Google finds you this on alevir.exe http://www.liutilities.com/products/...ibrary/alevir/
Make sure you have the latest security updates installed for WinXP if that is what you use, and consider installing a software firewall as well. Without some form of extra protection to WinXP there are several ways a virus could just waltz in on the system through a broadband connection, at times even when a system has the latest security updates installed. That's how big a mess it has gotten to nowadays. Just be aware of it. |

well i just did a windowsupdate again for this win98 computer... and im doing a virus scan. if it comes up again i will report it. seems like its not poping up since i rebooted. werid that it would always happen when i went to driverheaven or refreshed the pages from here. but no where else.
