I like the logo, it talks about ATI PCI Express VPUs.... but it's not ATI... Explantations? Backstory? Just curious..

not really odd, there are a few "new" sites with radeon or something ATI based in the domain name to get this kind of attention. one site even promised "inside interviews" "news" and "gossip" with the intention to fool people into thinking it was infact in some way connected to ATI themselves. ive checked into it, its not, just like all the rest of them.....
they get attention as is proved by these posts. good pr. lets hope one of them actually deliver something, eh?

One would think..
I thought ATI would have purchased that domain name. Sorta like how Windows.com brings you to microsoft.com...or pentium.com goes to Intel.com

A few people where PM'd over at R3D and asked for some insight and such.
Yeah Zar, i know... Kinda made me go when i read that. I mean, all this talk yet alot of people have no clue on who these people (card manufactires) are, nor even new that they where around.
But yes, a few days away in which all answers will be answered.

thats not really for me to say, certainly seems quite a flagrant attempt to get hits based on a well known name IMO and a few people ive spoken to in ATI certainly seem to feel the same. we will see if it starts a mass of copycat ati name sites......
how in the hell can you copyright "team radeon" if you arent ATI? that copyright notice is utter nonsense.

TeamRadeon.com
Based out of Toronto, Ontario (with a total of 5 servers) Team Radeon launched July 1st, 2004 - in celebration of Canada Day. The number of ATI specific websites are far and between, so Team Radeon saw the opportunity to create something fresh and new. We are intent on bringing 100 percent ATI and ATI community support. Our main site has been built to deliver real-time dynamic news and information, based solely around ATI and ATI products/software. Furthermore, Team Radeon is content on bringing article based material, including: editorials, previews, reviews, and interviews.
Importantly, our staff are ATI supporters themselves, which ensures our visitors that they will receive prompt and high quality support. The people who are behind Team Radeon have centered themselves on building an overall dynamic site, which we felt was key to making a website.
The website features no pop-up windows, nor any pesky advertising. The only advertising you will ever see on Team Radeon is ATI-specific advertising. Similarly, Team Radeon does not ask its visitors or staff for donations, our thinking on running a website is, if you don't have the resources to build and keep a website up and running - don't make one.
Happy gaming and we hope everyone enjoys the site!
-Team Radeon Staff
For some reason.....while I was reading that last part....it had a familiar "ring" to it. It sounds like something I have heard before.......just can't think of who it is.....

This was happening alot just a couple years ago, people buying out domain names hoping that the company would pay them for the rights to it. It is illegal but it still happens.
