Moose through CAR
This is crazy-- the lady actually only ended up with a broken wrist and needed a good bath.
Funny thing is- I actually drive this exact same car- It's a 1995 to 2001 Chevy Lumina.
I took the dumb hubcaps off and put on some fatter tires though.
It's a beast of a car, it doesn't surprise me she didn't get hurt bad.
On my local news a few months ago I saw a lady in a Lumina get T-Boned by an 18 wheeler and smashed into a concrete barrier, and she just had one broken leg. Tough cars.
That's NUTS!

I don't really know who won-
I guess I'd say Lumina-- it could still drive away, moose isn't going anywhere.
You could probably put a new roof on if you wanted- But I'm sure it's totalled because the cost would be more that the car is worth.. Those cars are a dime a dozen.

A moose got nailed by a bus... totalled the bus... went up and through the window and tore through alot of the seats.... stuck inside... the moose went nutz and tore everyhting up inside..... it got out and took off.....

They make pretty effective police cars out of those Luminas. I can tell you they are very solid cars- I feel like I could punt most SUV's off the road with it if I wanted to. Lumina is > 4400 LBS.
But still, that moose didn't have a chance, it looks like that car was going pretty fast- it's a big animal, but it's still an animal.. Hit in the right spot you could kill it will a (sledge) hammer.
EDIT
http://www.worldclassoutdoors.com/minnesota_hunting.htm
A Minnesota or Canada bull moose weights around 800-900 pounds, which is small compared to an Alaskan bull moose, which can weigh up to 1,800 pounds.
That moose was probably a medium/small one by the looks of it.

I've hit 2 deer- swerved ad missed about 7 going anywhere between 45 and 70 mph. (me, not the deer)
Killed one (head on with Audi 5000s), one got away- basically ran into the side of my car and bounced off.
I grew up in upstate NY where deer are like kangaroos in Australia- You get used to pretty much always looking out for them.

kangaroos - in australia? i have barely ever seen one… let alone have one on the road. I travelled by car from the bottom of the east coast all the way up 3/4 of the coast and only ever saw 2 dead kanga's by the road

What, are they finally killing them all off because of too many kangaroo/car accidents?
