how so? dead end? since when.... a decade ago the hype about the first few cards was although good thought... and in theory... was all good... but unfortuneate capabilities issues nailed it hard to the floor.....the Kyro and Kyro 2 is what really pulled PVR out of the well were it had hit bottom.... making capability not much of a worry..... other then the lack of TnL at the time... the sucker reproduce images very well with zero problem aside from specific programing for the "other" cards... although with a bit of driver tweaking.. or a game patch.. the problems would disappear.... but it's been much to long since the kyro 2 was released.... even though those with kyro 2s still, are able to play various games without much of a problem..... and those that no longer have them..... usually all will tell you that they miss em... specially for the game profiles... and IMAGE quality. If PVR can bring something to the table... and say "Hey, here's the deal, were spilling it and showing some hardcore stuff now"..... like they appear to be planning on doing.... i'm sure ATI and Nvidia are in for a shock... and some serious problem trying to hold on to the preformance grown. However.. still lost on your "Dead END" comment as it just doesn't make sence to me how it could be a dead end...
