Default Post SW: Episode II

Who already bought the tickets?

I bought mine two hours ago, for tomorrows presentation.

After those teasers I'm very desperate to see it

Only one thing:
I hope this time there are no Jar-Jar like characters, I would HATE comedy in a Star Wars Film, just like Episode I

I bought my tickets at Fandango.com about a week and half ago no having to wait in a big line outside, just go in & get in line for the movie.

I just hope some of the creatures in the film don't look fake. That's the thing with computer generated graphics, sometimes they make stuff look to fake, that's a major turn off for me in films. I hope they did a good job on Yoda since he is computer generated, I think they should of just used a puppet.

Yoda is going to be fighting in this movie! I think that it would be pretty hard to get Yoda to fight, and make it believable, if he were a puppet.

Default Post My son treated me to last night's Midnight show

And I have to say it's much better than Episode I !!! Mucho better !!!

As for Jar Jar: One movie critic put it something like this -- Lucas had enough guts to bring Jar Jar back, but enough brains to relegate him to a very small role.

Also, you'll notice that Samuel L. Jackson's character, Mace Windu, wields a purple lightsaber. He asked Lucas for that. When an interviewer asked him, Why?, he said, I'd like to say it was because my character is a super-duper Jedi and used a special powers saber. But, that's not true. The truth is, I knew there were going to be scenes involving thousands of fighters. I simply wanted to be able to see where I am in those scenes.

Yoda's moment of mano-o-mano is one of the highlights of the show!

Enjoy the show! It kept this 'ol'timer' awake all the way through...after midnight and finished just before 3 a.m.

PS BTW, the new Matrix movie trailer was among the MANY trailers shown prior to the movie.

I got to see it early... I had tickets to a sneak preview and saw it Wed. at 7:30! I tried to offer Andrew my extra ticket, but he said he wanted to wait! IT WAS GREAT... BETTER THAN ANY OF THE ORIGIONALS! The best part was the ending, where... j/k

You got cheated! We saw, MiB II, the ones you mentioned and also the Matrix preview. In fact, I thought the previews were almost TOO long. LOL But it was nice to see more than one or two.

The only preview I got was the Crocodile Hunter movie. No Matrix

The should've kept Yoda as a puppet for the close ups and used CGI for the fighting scenes. Close up he just looks like another CGI character

Dude, the movie is awesome! It's puts Episode 1 to shame. Lots of cool action & yes, theres the love story you got to get through, but it's necessary as you will get to know the future parents of Luke SkyWalker & Princess Leia. That Yoda fight scene was so sweet, everybody cheered when he walked in to battle. Also Lucas was a genius adding that comedy between R2D2 & C-3PO, I couldn't stop laughing at those two. Thank god, Jar Jar Binks had a small speaking role in this film, I just can't stand his voice. You guys who haven't seen it yet, your just going to love the light saber scenes & poor poor young Boba; You'll see why he becomes the legendary Bounty hunter he becomes. The CGI graphics were well done, nothing really looked fake, but I still think they should of used a puppet for Yoda expect for his awesome ninja style saber fight scene(CGI for life).
Bring on Episode III, where the Jedi will get screwed!

Side note: Hell, just about everybody cheered when the Matrix Reloaded preview came on OOOOOOOOOOO I can't wait, that's coming out in May of 2003.

ZARDON, go see Episode II as soon as you can!

I would have liked a little bit more time put into the Yoda lightsabre scene. It was one of the highlights of the movie for me. Also nice to see some dialog between the jedi/sith, missed that a lot in TPM.

I don't think it was up to the first 3 epis (You can't really beat Darth Vader or Han Solo) but I liked it much better than epi1. The love story evolves a bit too fast and it's kinda unrealistic but I guess it's better than having half the film showing Padme and Anakin falling in love with each other...The best part of the film has to be Yoda though, he really rocks
