Hellboy
Anyone seen this movie? I watched it last night thinking it was going to be a load of crap but it turned out to be not too bad at all. If you like effects based movies this has got them in adundance, just dont be hoping for a masterful script. certainly a decent way to pass a few hours.

"Based on Mike Mignola's comic, Hellboy is about a demon summoned to Earth by Russian monk Rasputin as part of a Nazi experiment in 1944. A scientist rescued the creature and raised him to be a force of good. Now an adult, Hellboy works within the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. When Rasputin, thought to be dead, retuns to plan the destruction of mankind, it's up to Hellboy and his friends Liz Sherman, a woman who can control fire, and Abe Sapien, an amphibious humanoid, to stop him."

its a very good scfi/comic book style film, one of the better ones ive watched and its PACKED with special effects from start to end - will be a good one for the guys with massive TVS and surround setups.

i loved this movie.... it was perfect in a balance of comedy and various other things... it wasn't astromically huge or anything ... but it hit first place in canada over the weekend (of when it was released)

I dunno... some of the scenes where really well done, anime wise, but on whole to me it felt like the movie was rushed.

Releasing on DVD July 27th! Looking forward to it as the sound in my home is better than the theatres around here.

Just the production i guess. The story line was there, but, just seemed like they could of been more detailed about each part of the movie. Just wasnt fluid for me. Too cut and paste in a way.

i liked it because it didn't flow the same way as all these other movies are..... different is good..... but i thought the detail was pretty well nailed...
