Seems like you got a good head on your shoulders, and a good heart. I'm sure everything will find a way of working out, and I hope it does.

Think about it. You still have a girl friend right? Your mom still loves you, I bet your dad still loves you (just hard for him to be a man about it) heck we still love you! He sounds like he is going through some hard times himself. Sounds like hes trying not to let any of his feelings show by drowning them out. Things will work out someday, because someone is watching over you.

that sucks man...i've been there
parents divorced after 25 years(my 9th grade year)...then my dad died end of 10th grade from drinkign related liver complications...and the one thign i learned is yer friends are worth their weight in gold and are the ONYL reason you'll make it through....
...and not to sound like an ass...but just fair warnign cuz it got the best of me and ruined me pretty good for a while:
don't try and replace family ties w/ friends or a g/f or whatever....i got a g/f right after the divorce....and it went quite poorly b/c lookign back on ti now i can safely say it was mroe to compensate for the loss of a sense of family then ti was b.c i loved her...which isnt a good way to do things
but best of luck to ya and we(i, anyways, and i'm sure i can safely speak for a majority of the forum on thsi one) are all here for ya

i had a similar prob, my dad was drinkin quite heavily before he passed away. it was all wierd, my mom got her citizenship after like 24 yrs here in canada a day or 2 before, i finished school got my report card that very day and my bro finished his first year of chiro college. and very sudden, my bro and i were out at the time and he had a heart attack my mom took care of everything. but my dad was giving a lot of problems earlier that year with my mom due to his excessive drinking
i really dont bother with a gf, just happens dont really even love em ahha im in it for the other stuff for now since all of them ive went out with are hoes.
so i've been through lotta BS also, but gotta keep going. my bro had to go through lotta BS in the past due to my dad, but my dad was a really good guy jus drank too much sometimes, he was a welder and had some backround in engineering. literally, i'm prolly one of the poorest ppl on this forum but since my bro is also strong he is a doctor now and now helping my mom and I and we finaly have bought a $320K house.
so gotta keep it goin yo

Hey no problem, keep your head on straight and you'll be fine. Staying away from drugs, booze, and smoking is something to be very proud of in this day and age, it's a difficult thing to do.

Heres a quick way to move out...
Get a job as a caretaker at an apartment complex. Minimal work and half the places will pay your full rent, some offer benefits and all that garbage. I've been doing it for 2 years and it really helps get rid of the financial burden. I do less than 1 hr of work/day. Less than 40 hours a month for 800 bucks less rent!
P.S. My dads been divorced 3 times, I feel your pain on all that btw. Just blow it all off and live your life....who cares about anyone elses y'know.
