who watched troy?
man that was an amazing film, eric bana proved himself as an actor in this movie in my opinion.
awesome battles and really really hot chicks too! i can't complain how the movie was done, there was enough tragedy and victory.

They say Brad Pitt didn't portray the role too well.

I found this movie to be fairly poor. The editting was mediorce, battles much less impressive than LOTR. Dialog that is protracted, boring, and slow.
I thought that Brad Pitt's character was very well done, I think if they had just made a action adventure named Ackilees I'd enjoy it more.
Of course some of my dismay is in paying $9 to see a movie where the audio track was screwed up by the theater, lots of liittle pops, like a corrupt MP3, and at one point, I do not know how, but the voice was out of sink. Even my friend sitting next to me, who had not heard the other problems, noticed this. As well the theater was having trouble with the Surround System it seemed.
In Conclusion, this is an okay movie, however, it is not worth the price of a ticket. The editting in my opionion could have used quite a bit of work, random cuts to faces do not help a story, and they could have certainly shortened some scenes or removed them all together. It looked very nice, some very good artisitic direction, but the director needs to learn to get to the point a little more.

well i paid 9.25 for the best theatre in toronto and it was insane, everyone walked out of the theatre impressed.
brad pitt had that signature move, and he was very serious and fierce. but eric bana was the best I have to say.

Went and watched it last night. It was definitely a great movie, but it wasn't as epic as i first expected it to be. I guess i was just spoiled by LOTR. When i first saw the preview for Troy I expected it to be as amazing as lotr, with the huge battles and stuff. Although there's plenty of big battles, they never reach such a large scale like in lotr. I have to say though, Brad Pitt was awesome in it. Again, it's a great movie, just don't make the mistake of expecting another lotr experience.

I enjoyed it thoroughly, I can see people who loved the braveheart "style" films not enjoying this as there was very little gore and gibs flying, but I think it added to the charm of the film. Reminded me in many ways of the old style epic movies, great scenes, good cinematography and some nice acting from the leads. Brad Pitt im not a massive fan, but I think he coped with this role admirably and while not having the build I feel for the role he carried it pretty well.
Enjoyable film, and a great one for all the older guys here who loved the old TV style movies done on an epic scale without needing to see gore every two seconds.

$8.00 for a ticket in Sacramento area, $6.00 for early 'matinee' screenings
Sometimes the theatre is gay though and the surround sound channels fuck up...
