Default Post Do what Dig does!

Totally break all the computers in your house just to distract yourself from real-life by fixing them again. I upgraded a CPU & memory in one; then swapped mobos 'tween two; then upgraded the son's box with my old CPU, memory, and vid card (from 921 to 3056 in 3dm2k1se for him. ); added two more fans to Bubbles and swapped out all the other ones with fresh ones, (I do that periodically and wash 'em.); and tonight I think I'm gonna swap the GF3 for the 8500 (quit laughing Zarathustra! ) so I can have the 8500 in my test-bed rig for playing with....

I dunno, when nothing is new in the world of computers just make something happen.

Laugh all you want, but the quickest/best way I've found to clean system fans is still to just run water over them real quick then shake them dry and leave them sitting out on a towel overnight....then they sit in a drawer for a few months...

...but it gets all the dust right off of them.
