Flying out of Virginia....
I just couldnt help but hum this one as I stood in Dulles Airport, and watched people tumble like marbles out of the gates and into the concourse to pick up luggage. Like wilderbeast crossing the dangerous river they dashed across the blue and red carpet to the stainless steel excalators, I just stood there and thought about it....the song...and a three hour wait...
I sure miss my family and my friends
So, so you think you can tell Heaven from Hell, blue skies from pain.
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil?
Do you think you can tell?
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change?
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year,
Running over the same old ground. What have you found? The same old fears.
Wish you were here.

The only way to do a trip through VA justice is to DRIVE through it. Flying over just doesn't do it for me. I love driving through the Appalachian mountains.
