Default Post Happiness is someone trying to give you 10 computers.

I finally got hold of an old friend who's been trying to get a hold of me to get rid of some old computers her brother was trying to fix before he passed recently. It's a person I used to work with long ago when I worked with my father, and he's been pestering me for a couple of weeks now about it and I finally found the free time to make the call.

I'm going up to Chicago on Monday night to clear out an old office of some charity boxes someone else was working on to finish them up and distribute them...which sounds like just too much fun for me to even imagine. (I'm kind of weird that way.)

No real news here, I was just in a geek-happy mood again and thought I'd share. Fixing up the boxes is only half the fun for me, seeing the people get the computers is the other half.

If you happen to have any left over SCSI hardware, I'd give it a good home

Would a 4Gb barracuda count? I have one rotting away on a shelf that you're welcome to, it says "4.3 Ultra" whatever that means. Just let me know and I'll send it out.

Damn! Oh well it was worth a shot. One day a friend will have something that says "73gb 15000rpm U160" on it and will have no clue what it means
