My Question is I bougt a ATI AIW 9800 Pro for 399.99 from there Jan 23, 2004 today ad now has it for 299.99 after a instant rebate and a mail in rebate my question is has anyone ever been able to return a video card? Or just get the difference in money? Or does anyone know how to go about this thanks!!!

I thought they offered a 30 day price guarantee. I would definitely take my receipt up there and ask to talk to a mgr. Be real cool with them and see if they'll do the right thing. If not, try another CC store if you're fortunate enough to have more than one close by

Yeah I'm pretty sure they do have this guarantee..it wouldn't hurt to try.

This is something I take advantage of whenever possible. It's been quite a while, though, since I bought something of this nature from Cir.City. But, if they have a publicly written policy of price matching up to X number of days from purchase, you should have no problem getting a refund. Just don't expect to get it over the counter in cash. Depending on how you purchased it, it will be credited to your charge card or, if you paid in cash, they'll send you a refund via mail. Usually a 2 - 3 week time period.

Well I called them and they said no that I was over 14days! PC equipment is only good for 14days? wtf I cant believe this Bestbuy always let me get refunds along as it wasnt over 30days!

No way I would accept that! I would go up there and buy another one and take it home for about 2 days. I would then take it back but with my first receipt and get a $399 refund. Just not right for CC to do that man! Unless of course you only have a 14 day refund period too which would truly suck. I would definitely talk to a mgr being calm,cool and collected at first but if he also is a jerk I'd get upset and demand a price adjustement. Be sure to remind them of the competitions 30 day low price guarantee on all products! Man a $400 purchase is no chump change and you could have bought that card anywhere but you chose CC because of their excellent customer service and now they're doing this to you! I'll never shop CC again etc rant on him. They need to make it right man!

This is one reason to know about a company's written policy. It's usually posted in plain view somewhere in the store. And, if it's posted plainly in sight, you'll have a hard time getting anywhere with them.

I did run into a similar situation when I bought Call of Duty from Media Play. And I'm still stewing over it. What happened was I bought it for $49.99 (a price I very RARELY put out for any game) and the very next day Best Buy had it in their AD for $34.99. Now, in our area at least, most of these stores have a price guarantee where they'll at least match another store's price within 30 days.

Well, I took the Best Buy AD into Media Play and showed it to them. They would NOT refund me the difference until I FIRST went to Best Buy, bought the game for $34.99 and then brought the game and its receipt to them. They argued that Best Buy often runs special prices without having the goods on the shelf. (I know that much to be true, BUT, you can always get a Rain Check on these items that will let you get the product once it does arrive at the store.) I DID get my refund from Media Play and I definitely vented with the manager about their position being about as senseless as anything I'd dealt with from a store.

I mentioned how much I'd bought over the years from Media Play and named products: Computer games, children's toys for my grandkids, CDs, magazines, movies on DVD and VHS, etc. etc. I told him that I'd be thinking long and hard before making another purchase from them. And I have. I haven't bought another item from them since then. BUT, I go into the store when I'm checking prices on something I'm interested in. When I'm approached by one of their associates now, I simply tell them, "I was 'thinking' about getting [this item] but I guess I'll get it elsewhere since you gave me such a hassle over a price match awhile back." I don't know that it will change their policy, but, it's not a big deal for me to do this as Best Buy is within a stone's throw of the Media Play.

and rebate is no a everyday price change it not like they dropped the regular price it does not apply

Went into Circuit City after work today and the nice girl put the Video card back on my CC and rang it up again for the new offer so I paid 349.99 cash and got the Ati Mail In Rebate also so it makes it 299.99 Im so happy and she was a very nice lady for doing it also !!!!!!!!
