I love how WinMedia needs 20% of the CPU to play a damn Mp3, whereas WinAMP can do it with single-digit utilization

Also the fact that WinAMP doesn't have any spyware as such AND it doesn't have any restrictive licensing stuff Oh yeah - it sounds better too

Definently give this a shot...
If you use winamp I definently suggest getting the plugin called enhancer. you can find it here http://www.geocities.com/i_adryan/ This plugin is the best one ever made!!! Just listen to your music when using it and your music sounds about 100X better, clearer, even louder so you dont need to blast the volume to hear muffled sound. Someone use it and tell me what you think of it! If that link doesnt work go to winamp.com and click on plugins then search for "enhancer" and it's the second one down Enhancer 017!!!

I use Winamp and Sonique. The strange thing is that they sound different .
Sonique has a softer midrange and "deeper" bass than winamp. Its hard to say which sounds "better". Depends on the song. I like Winamp very much because of how small it is .
The one thing that I like about Sonique is that the developers are constantly updating their mp3 decoder with every new release to get the most accurate decoding and best quality.... I can't even remember the last time the Winamp decoder was updated ...
My favorite thing about Winamp is how there are so many plugins for it and how almost every aspect of the player can be changed to the preference of the listener. Sonique is more restricted ....

I also think that Mucic Match jukebox would be tight if it all the plugins and the tight ass visulations that winamp has the best/only thing i like about musicmatch is it's music libary.

Sorry.. I refer to J. River Media Jukebox 8 as the Caddy. Like in Cadillac of players. It does a bit more than play MP3's of course.

WinAMP seems to have one of the better decoders. It sounds better than most of the MP3 players out there. And I have to ask this: Has anyone tried using ATi file player to play MP3 files? It seems to do a pretty good job.

The ATI file player sounds like crap with everything. It doesn't make any bass . It might for you, but every time I've used it, it has sounded like crap and somewhat "tinny". That's why I've just not bothered installing it this time around (fresh install)

I use it for playing video, but never cared for it's audio playback.
