The only things that make me happy are:

Computers, the wilderness, and my girlfriend.

Why the F*CK am I getting a BS in...something, and why the F*CK am I working at an insurance firm? Because, I'm not free to live my life to the best application of my abilities. I am inefficient because the system makes me inefficient. I should be f*cking and building computers, but instead I have to go to a respected university to major in a relavent field, just so I can eek out a middle class living and die a broken, worn down, sad old man. My opinion doesn't count in this world, because I don't believe anyone else's does and they believe the same about everyone else too. My role in the universe is more than insignificant, it is parasitic and useless. More than likely, like everyone else, I will be more of a burden to everyone than a help in any way. I am not original, I am not unique, I am not special, I am not important.

I am middle class, white male, AB (A-) average human. Hear me weep despairingly at my own perceived misfortunes, while I wallow in self pity and angst.

But, on the bright side, I can be fruitful and bear countless spawn, hoping that someday when I'm an old, worthless shell of the person I used to hate being, I can have disinterested ears to speak my terrifying prophecies to. Or I'll just work myself into catatonia, retire at 70 after my female (and only) companion dies - with only null social security checks and a family who wants nothing more than to be rid of me to help facilitate my subsistence on anger and jealousy until I die slowly, alone, and covered in my own excrement in some forgotten corner of a nursing home.

How much comfort do you personally take, in the fact that you are at least enlightened, unlike the majority, the blind masses? Do you sometimes wish you were clueless like the others, so that you might be immune from the depression of such a bleak existence?

I do actually wish I was ignorant again; then again, I also haven't gotten laid in two weeks. Maybe that's my problem?
