does anyone remember the cd burner that can burn letters on the bottom of the disk?

I think that it was made by yamaha, if anyone can find this please help me! I just wanna show someone that it did exist, but I cant seem to google it... thanks

uh.. yes.. i have one...

I've yet to see any other one on the market yet..

yamaha has quit making CD-RW for awhile now... but you can still get these sweet speed demons...

The Yamaha CD-RW F1 allows you to burn ANYTHING onto the actual data part of the disk.... although the only draw back is that you MUST have enough room to do it..... the more space needed on the disk... the less you have to work with....

The tech is called DiscT@2

You can burn Text/Images/BOTH

It requires specific kind of media through... But easy to find... the BLUE disks.. (the data side appears more blue then anything else)..

But i think with a later Firmware version.. it not as limited.... not sure...

Well... a 44x24x44x CD-RW drive along with MTRainer support... is rather quite excellent... this is probably the best CD-RW you'll ever find....

I'm just hopeing Yamaha had quit making CD-RW's so they could work on DVD writers and combos..

Yeah I remember that yamaha drive, but I went with a TDK instead, liked burnproof better than an increased cache lol

This thing has burn proof.. but it's called something else.... yamaha seemed to be the one always bringing out new stuff.... I think my older Yamaha drive i had.... was the first to come with Mt. Rainer support.... (my older one)..

Man.... this yamaha will eat any other drive at any time of the day...

Specially it's wide supported abilities .... The CAV features are nice enough as well give you the best possible reads... writes.... and rips.... (when you can rip 10 minute songs to MP3 at about 1 second per song.... damn.. that's nice... considering 320kbps)

......Matth, that technology was actually being designed by yamaha.... for there next CD-RW... They were going to increase the abilities of DiscT@2.... to version 2.0 or something.... this would give you the ability to "burn" the serface a lable... but they canceled as the required media... isn't cheap.. and isn't widely available....
