What I can tell you first off I have the UPS you're looking at & it works great. I love mine!!!
The A2 ZS is a pretty good card. Though I'm still not a big creative fan.

I have the ES 350.....it is smaller but works great for what I need it to do. Very happy with it. APC makes some really good products from what I have seen. But of course that is only my opinion.

I can't buy anywere else just locally.... i can't buy anything online.... one reason... need a credit card... another is the fact that most of all places either won't ship to canada... or to saskatchewan..... Also... i can get a 3 year deal... that works really well at futureshop.... I have used APC alot.. i recommend everyone i talk to to get one... cause it's a life saver..... your machine will last alot longer.... I have had the Office 280... the VA 500 and a 750.... but i want some serious ammount of plugins and just recent found the BX1000 sitting on a shelf.. only to later notice that it was gone ....i'm still waiting on shipment.... The Creative card... although i'm not a fan.... is something..... No other cards on the shelf are even worth looking at... specially when the majority is either older creative.... or nonames.... Hercules cards even available there anymore...

RadioShack carry's Hercules sound stuff. Seems to be one of the few places it in canada that does. As does Staples as well
Somthing that surprised me that I saw(and held in my hands) was a DiamondMultiMedia:MX300 on sale at staples! They havn't made those for what? 3 years? lol

Well they carry a vary limited amount of stuff just as most places that carry some of there stuff do. But you are right they do carry them. And every once in a blue moon they carry some of the more affordable(or not so) stuff for a limited time, web only and it peaks my interest a little.
But over all it seems unless you can find a good little computer store that carry's them there stuff is kinda hard to find :\

Pay Pal is useful, but honestly, 2.2 % can make a difference to some people on a budget, and the hassle of jumping through the pay pal hoops makes me more inclined to use my credit card

you may of seen the front page. if you can't donate by paypal, email zardon for other arrangements.
quote of front page:
As I mentioned last year it is my plan early this year to upgrade the Driverheaven main server to a dual processor setup, our current server sometimes cannot cope with the traffic Driverheaven receives. Id like to remind you all if you would like to help us out and to speed up your service you can send donations via paypal to zardon@driverheaven.net or by clicking here . As an added bonus those who donate get an oversized 80x80 pixel avatar of their choice regardless of post count and a silver donation medal, so you can be seen quite visible on our forum as a donator to the site. If you dont like using Paypal we can come to some other arrangement, just drop me a mail.
Id like to thank those of you who have already donated.

I think the americans can do it via checking account through paypal.
incidentally addressing another point in this thread I dont see how paypal is anyworse for a customer buying hardware - unless they offer no protection like a credit card company would if something went wrong but Paypal dont charge the person sending the money, its the company at the other end who get a percentage taken from them (happens to me when people send me donations).

I'm running through CIBC..... anyone i talk to there doesn't have a clue about computers...drives me nutz..... i ask a question . "uh.... sorry can't really help you as i don't even own a computer".... I looked all over the Paypal site for debit transactions.... but you need a debit/credit card..... which isn't really debit.... I have a CIBC Debit... i've tried many times to send some cash... but i'm always missing something.... Also.... to do the transactions here..... the person i'm sending to... must have a CIBC account.... so that screws everything up again.......
