I've been folding for about 1.25 years now. I fold for Extreme Overclocking forums.
Basically, it's just a small program that runs in the background and uses all unused CPU cycles. Basically it crunches some numbers and molecules and crap like that. F@H is gonna eventually help to possibly find cures to some cancer and things of the such.

folding is distributed computing but stanford to help cure desiese.. it uses you spare cpu time to analyze dns and such.. it'll give you a great view of your full load temps  (folding for rage3d)
