Anybody tried the url in the pic?

actually its the other way round. Hold your nose and try and taste sometihng, you can barely distinguish one thing from another. Close your mouth and try and smell something and theres no problem. Why do you think everything tastes the same when you've got a cold?

Try salt in your coffee, instead of sugar. Hold your nose, if you wish.

I never said you couldn't taste at all if you held your nose, but most taste is produced from a mixture of stimulated tastebuds and the ability to smell. Salt acts specifically on an area of the tongue and so i would imagine is quite a strong taste, as would anything paticularly bitter.
