i'm failing... but i blame my parents...

right now i am failing 3 classes. but boy am i failing them... i have a 39 in precalc, a 16 in english 4 and a three in US history. Why? i blame ADD... i just cannot pay any attanetion in class, hench i either don't know what the homework is or i can't do it. and also, i can rarely finish my homework at home... i just stop doing it and go back to my computer. when my parents take that away, i watch tv. and so on. now i have tried to tell my parents that i am positive i have ADD... BUT THEY WON'T FUGGIN LISTEN TO ME!!!! and then they f-ing blame ME for failing? they say its MY fault? when i can NOT for anything in the world pay attention in my boring as hell classes. my mom says i don't have it because i can sit at the computer for hours at a time. but i can't... i am maybe, MAYBE on the computer for 30 minutes at a time before i move onto something else. well fokk them! if they aren't going to take me seriously then i am not going to take their punishments seriously!!!

Damn, a 4 in history?!?! 16 English?! 39 IN PRECALC?!?!!? geezz.... you need some help. Any chance you can convince your school's counselors that you have a problem? It should be pretty apparent that you have one.

How did you get this far anyway? Did this just start happening or have you been this way a long time, like since 1st grade or so?

....... i wish we had even pre calc....... as for the percentages..... they are a little worrisome... but seeing as it's only october.... not something that i would REALLY worry about..seeing as i went into my final exams with 28/36 and whatnot.... and came out with above 50-60 no problem..... (damn teachers).....ADD is a bit of a problem...... you should get your teacher to hold up a picture of pamala anderson every 12 seconds... that'll get your attention consistantly... (

I hate to be blunt, but your parents are not going to be able to support/coddle you forever. Your life is your own, and no one else can live it for you. When it all comes down to it you have to be disciplined enough to do it for yourself, it is after all YOUR future. I have as short of an attention span as anyone that I know, but I always new the difference between a high paying job and being able to buy all of the stuff that I want/need, and struggling by flipping burgers for a living with no hope of improving. If I can get through college and get one hell of a good job, then I would guess that you probably could too. Trust me, the time investment and discipline will be worth it in the long run.

lol... judas... you put a smile on my face when i wasn't in the mood. also, it was a three in USHistory... also, i TOLD you that my fuggin parents don't believe me! i just brought up ADD again! and they both said "oh you DON'T have ADD!" so i started yelling. hoping that would get their attention that they DON'T know WHO THE FUCK i am and that they think i am some sweet little angel when really i am up at school feeling all teh tittays! and they think they can tell if i have add? the longest i have talked to my dad in YEARS is maybe 30-45 minutes. and he thinks he can tell if i have add?!?!?!? I CAN'T FUCKING PAY ATTENTION IN MY CLASSES! i can TRY mind you! i can go in with the intent on doing my work and taking notes and then i see that blasted fly on the window... well there went my attention. i think i will talk to my counselor tomorrow. i desperately want to pass but it is apparent that i can't with my parents help...

It would be a good idea for you to speak to your teachers and counselor. You need to show them that you want to pass and that you are concerned about your grades. Parents really don't like thinking that there is something wrong with their childern.

You are gonna have to take the first step, which you have, admitting the problem if there is one. Good luck on your parents. Hopefully you can get your grades up.. oh and FYI... Extra Credit Rocks!!!! Ask your teachers if there is any way you can do some extra credit projects. If it is papers and hard stuff it is gonna be worth not having to repeat another year in HS and not being able to walk with your class.

I know how you feel you man. I have ADD too, but I take medication for it. I'm also an Honors student... so for those of you skeptic ADD people out there... YES! IT CAN BE DONE!

I'm seriously going deaf and my parents think I'm full of it. It's tough; they probably just don't want to believe that anything is wrong. Ignorance is bliss.
