Ever had a Dream Within a Dream?
I was having a very nice dream this morning. Without going into detail, I woke up from that dream and was telling my son and other members of the family about this really nice dream. Only, I discovered I was dreaming that I was telling my family about the dream. I finally actually woke up.
Or, at least I think I did.

I rarely dream, but it's happened to me once before that I remember distinctly - I went to sleep, woke up, walked around, and woke up, walked around, and then woke up and realized I had just woken up more than once... and thats that. Maybe I'm still dreaming. </rodsterling>

extreme daja vu? Lately, i've been having nearly extreme daja vu or "phyicic" epesisodes while dreaming ....or awake..... just today, someone had ordered a apple pie...... someone else made it.... and i packaged it up... but without a thought... i grabbed another and started making it....a few were eyeing me like..... "what the hell"........ no longer then 5 minutes later... that very same person came back wanting a replacement apple pie....as the one she was given wasn't an apple pie but a blue berry..... i did however tell one other person before 5 minutes passed that i had the strange feeling that she would be coming back for some mixed up reason.... that guy was a little...... don't know...seemed weirded out by it....... why?...because i've been having constant things like that happen for the last week or so.....(i'm really wondering now what the deal is)

I recall many times...waking up to the sound of general quarters. men running up and down the passageways with fire fighting gear and battle dress, struggling to get my gear on....stumbling down the steel decks dragging my medical gear and my sound powered phones, breathing oxygen from my OBA, punching into the wall communication port...listening for damage control central to energize and give instructions, then hear the slam of a surface skimming missle into the hull of the ship, knocking us down, lights go out, smoke obscures the lights of the switches for my firefighting station...I struggle for the floor hatch to escape into aft steering, inside the armoured box...my oxygen cylinder is caught and I can feel the heat on my face mask...then I awake....in a sweat..scared out of my mind.
It shakes me up every time I have the dream.

Are you SURE you woke up, and that you aren't still dreaming this?
Pinch yourself - but then, why can't you dream that you are pinching yourself?
Perhaps we are all part of the matrix.

The brain is a very complex thing.
The easiest way to explain all this.
Just think when you get high, those chemicals mess with your brain so much that you just TRIP out.
Thats what dreams are. Tripping out.
That was a dream I once had, trippin out. I was inside the head of my buddy's dream. Dreaming about trippin out. I was inside the head of my buddy's dream. Dreaming about trippin out.

yes...
during our first voyage to the indian ocean, my battle dressing station was in the catwalk above the engine rooms. we had two fires and used Halon to fight both..I was trapped in a space that was secured because the headers and pumps for the fuel oil were there..they flooded out our space and we had wade in waist deep cold saltwater till the fire was out. we lost lights, communication and we could feel the bulkhead as the fire melted the paint on the other side..we egress down into the bilge through a scuttle and I remember we were caught each and every one by our breathing apparatus..made me sick..
It always scared me, and still does...the missle attack happened during the gulf war. We were scared to death, the XO told us about missle launch and we counted the seconds till the impact point, but a British ship shot the missles down before they struck us...we were balled up behind flat steel tables and really thought we were gonners. I watch grown men pee their pants and shit themselves...still scares me to this day.

Ever try to take control of the dream?....... usually in reaccuring dreams.... there is either something missing.... or something that has been missed.... and depending on how many times you've had the dream...you can effectively "freeze" it to look around..... although this may take a few tries... i've been able to do it....those are the most excellent dreams....

Judas,
I have had a few similar experiences. Usually, however, when I realize I'm dreaming, I'll wake up. (At least I 'think' I wake up. )

talking control of dreams is somewhat easy.. just before you wake up.. you can mess with the dream.. you now when you have like a 6 sense in the dream that you about too have someone wake you up.. it that moment you can play with the dream
