It could be worse .... (could of been a 24" of snow )
I've seen some bad flooding was once almost flooded in with some hunters that were stuck out there for a WEEK till they could even get out and it was mounths before all lthe water was gone
there flooding way down stram (white water turns into- ohio then turns into mississippi) so monroe dam closed off it spill way... the water was comeing over the levey (emergency overflow), trails, big mess, dam could have broke with much more watter....

I hear you man! I live in Whatcom County, less than a mile from the Nooksack River and let me tell you. The feilds around the river already look like Oceans and the river hasen't even crested yet!

we are having problems with our basement flooding, fortunately that will probably be the extent of our problems, there are people with much worse problems.

Keep us updated, I hope you don't get flooded out, it is still raining quite hard here, take pics if you have a chance..I sure hope you can swim well

ahh the UK is a sweet lookin country isnt it?? although i was born in Australia my family only got here in 1906 (from UK) so i want to get there sometime in my life....
oh btw that had nothing to do with the post but i saw the pics and got all inspired...or something like that!!!

i know.just pointing the after effects we have.
i am not intentionally hijacking this thread.
but i will say Patricia's original pics she posted although it were a bad day they are still stunning photos she taken.
just look at some of the snow falls parts of the usa have had during winter time could of been worse.
just a small point were we can get it very bad at times.
