Who cares about Roy? Tens of thousands die of starvation every day, and their plight could be recognized and the starvation at least partially ended for some of them if Roy had donated even a tenth of what he made doing his glitzy inane show, and now he has a piece of his skull removed and stuck in his abdomen while they operate on his brain. Not a good point at all. Human suffering is human suffering, regardless of whether the person suffering is rich or poor. Just because thousands die a day does not mean anything. People don't starve because the rich are rich. At any rate, Roy probably does donate quite a sizable amount to charity, as do all people in America --especially the rich-- but it doesn't do good because the world is full of corrupt and shitty governments.

To even suggest that we should not care about one man's suffering because many people suffer each day is absurd and offensive to the extreme.

..... javafox.... i don't think he ment it that way..... of course there is a care...but not so much as realizing that there a thousands dieing every day that we know just as little about..... So, to say, who cares about roy and continue on is about as breif it goes..... i've said the same thing when a famous female curler from canada... and actually from not to far were i live...died of cancer... found out at school.... i said, meh, don't know who that is.... never met em...... who cares... lets continue on with life...... Of couse i don't mean that in the most offencive way.... as i did however take the time to recognize the name and think for the smallest split second that... well... there goes another life ammong thousands to go today...... and continued on..... The only thing that bothers me is that fact that people idolize the famous to the point that if ANYTHING happens to them..... it's a serious thing.... while others don't get any recognition at all....only from the close ones around them....... If some "famous" actor died today...... i wouldn't think twice about continueing on with life if it were anyone i really liked as an actor... being jim carrey or whoever...... i like there acting...they did there job... they made money....it made me laugh.... life goes on....
