Just wanted to let you all know to keep yours eyes open for a new virus released yesterday. It comes in an e-mail that looks like it if from symantec (updates@symantec.com). There is an attachment (zip file) that contains the virus. Nothing will happen till you run the .exe contained in the zip file. BE SURE TO DELETE THIS E-MAIL. The attachment installs a IRC backdoor and will cause all kinds of problems for you.

I got this e-mail yesterday morning but thankfully I was very suspicious of it. I brought the virus into work and we examined it and watched it install on a stand-alone system. We tried checking some of the code in it but alot of it is in Russian,,,,,,,,
