I'm very familiar with the stretch of road where these two hockey players were traveling last Monday night. It's a busy road in the heart of Buckhead, a little north of Atlanta proper. The posted speed limit is 35 MPH.

Heatley, the driver and owner of the Ferrari was traveling in excess of 80 MPH according to police reports. The impact caused the car to be severed completely in two.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Dan Snyder, who was a very promising young man and put his heart and soul into the game of hockey. He will be greatly missed.
