All in A Day
Woke up, went out on Hounslow Common to look for mushrooms (edible). Still too dry but found a plum tree groaning with juicy ripe plums so I filled my basket to the top. As I began to walk away a flock of green parrots; yes real parrots!, landed on same tree and set about it with a will. I assume due to close proximity to Heathrow Airport that they must have originally escaped from there. Neighbours confirmed my sighting, the parrots have been around for nearly two years and are a real pest despite their looking all sweet and parroty.
Anyway sat down by the river to enjoy a cigarrette when what do I see but a turtle make it's way onto a rock in the middle of the river. If this was not enough
a snake appears swimming along. "A grass snake" thinks I. Nope!, a python. Small with a sort of diamond pattern. What else has escaped from Heathrow???
Went back, gave plums to wife for jam making then decided to spend the rest of my day off on the computer. Some hope!, just about everything that could go wrong or breakdown did. It is now a few minutes to midnight and the PC is back to normal. So that was my day. Oh, and my trusty Weller solder station died.
How was your day?
Has anyone else seen non-native animals in their backyard recently?

I was waiting for the punch-line, what a bizarre day. I played computer games all-day and ate some crisps.

You should have picked sinjin up from work and then gone to the gym, he needs the exercise!
