Sad Do you think DH slows you down and rots away at your cleverness?

Hey Guys and Gals. Just wanted your opinions on something. This post was posted by digitalwanderer. I was wondering if everyone felt the same way.

Please post your reasons for choosing if you don't mind.

I picked the second choice because I have always loved DH. It's like being part of one big family.

I have been with DH for some time now and I find this place to be very respectable between user to user. Many come here for answers to their questions and don't expect garbage like many other forums experience. An added bonus is that one actually meets nice people here!

Overall, DH is a very relaxing and informative site that I enjoy visiting many times on a daily basis!

I would have to agree 110% with this comment..... I lurk in many fourms but only really post my stuff here..... I have tried other sites but can't stand watching people rip other people's comments to shreds.....I always thought the purpose of a fourm was to present questions to the masses in hope of finding the actual answer to a specific problem. Here @ DH though, for the most part, people tend to act somewhat mature and respect the fact that everyone is entitled to their own personal opinion on things.

Love this place... very relaxing while soaking up good info.

Just gotta rememeber, there wont be a place that all will be well. There will be times that places will get all crappy when peoples tempers will fly. IT will happen no matter where yeah go, its the nature of these forums where peoples views will conflict. Its key that everyone stays mature and level headed about whats going on tho. Ff done, all will be well.

So I'm the only one that feels that DH has made me stupider. I mean, seriously. This forum was really technical and sorta nerdy and I learned things, but lately (last 6 months maybe) has been quite..... um, well, whatever you wanna call it. It's just a forum I come to chat at now. I find my nerdy and technical solutions at other forums (extreme overclocking)

seriously though ive seen alot of people who came here when the site first started who were pretty inexperienced and by asking and answering questions they have learned alot since that time, and are now into the hardcore stuff. I think its up to the individual to help others and to jump in answering questions they know. I mean I answer alot of them myself, but I think alot of the members arent having problems now and are posting more in off topic anyway

ive seen alot of questions from new people coming to the site and we try to answer as many as possible.

For a newcomer I could see the confusion of some of the stuff ....but for those that have been here ....if its become mundane then why stick around if you feel the information offered here is useless or not up to your standards...thats all I'm sayin'

I learn something new everyday whether it be a tech problem or a real-life issue. Even those with very little tech knowledge can feel confident that their problem will be given due consideration and not treated with scorn like on some other sites.

I've said it once (or mabye more times) and I'll say it again. I love DH. I've only been here a few months and came here for technical advice and just hung around after that as the folks here are all nice. I'll answer questions that I can (and try to answer some I can't) and I have fun here too.
The Russian Roullete being one of my faves at the moment.
And even if the majority of the posts aren't technical questions, everyone here seems to get on anyway. I can still ask a question when I want and most of the time I'll get a response. Thats what makes DH great.
