Should i get a refund?
Ok... right now i am getting artifacts in ut2k3 (not big ones... but they are still there...) at only 275/270 on my new video card... now do you think maybe i should just make some ghetto ram-sinks and then see how it goes or should i just send it back?

analyse these first--------->1. how bad is the artifacts?? 2. did you cool the card properly?? 3. with the new bios that you just acquired, perhaps you could underclock a bit to stablize it 4. the most importand point is that, can you assure that you can still get "the one in a million" if you RMA??

How about this,
be happy with what you got. Why send it back - the replacment has as much chance of being better as not. You could be doing it for weeks before you get a good one.

First. Pump up your AGP voltage to 1.8. Then slowly work the card up in increments. ALSO, what bios did you flash with? Cuz most Sapphires DON'T need a bios flash to overclock.

General, try lowering the Core clocks, instead raise the Memory first until you get artifacts......if its possible, i'd rather the card runs at 270/275..

Okay, so you want a refund because the card can't overclock well?
The card runs the way it was meant to run, I don't see a problem. Though if you are unhappy with the card I guess they should give you a refund... I suppose.

Return it and get your money back. Not only did they fake you out with the pic, but they sent you a slower card then they were supposed to. You could always call one of the consumer protection agencys if they don't accept your card. (Many irreputable online dealers won't)
Cyborg: stock speeds for a r9500np are 276/270.

Oh, so they said it was a stock speed 9500np? Or did you know it was slower when you bought it?

Does it have L shaped ram on the pcb, or are all four ram chips lined up in a row on the top of the pcb?

I can't believe it's 5 to 1 against a refund. Quality.
