Once again it is that ?wonderful? time of the year that I give a week of my life to work as adminstrator for a Boy Scout day camp. Come this evening we will be going through the opening of camp with 100 screaming 7-12 year old boys in attendance. Not only do I have to put up with the scouts but my wonderful wife is the director of the camp, has been working like a dog to get ready, and will be barking orders for me to take care of for camp in addition to the normal barking of marriage. I'm sure by this time Friday I will be quite dazed and a little confused with all the screaming and barking going on. Wish me luck guys, I'm going to need it.
are you an official member of the FOG? or do you suffer from OFD? F**king Old Guys or Old Farts Disease....if you don't have either of these problems you will enjoy yourself and learn something too!

I got up today at 7, had enough time to make coffee and sneak a smoke (lay off, I'm quitting again tomorrow. ) and get breakfast started just before the kids got up. Fed 'em, cleaned 'em up, dressed 'em, and just got back from getting Maddy to pre-school and Justin to summer camp.
It's 9:35, I can hear me wife snoring over the monitors, and I'm sitting here with a cup of coffee and nothing to do for an hour or two......IT'S F*CKING HEAVEN!!!!!!

Don't know, does 34 years old qualify for membership in the FOG? Honestly though everything is going great. The prep of getting camp ready can be a real pain, but in the end just seeing the boys faces with all the fun they are having is worth it. Our camp theme this year is American Heritage and we have events based on both a national /local heritage level. Since we live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA, bluegrass/old time music is very big so we had some of the local talent come in and perform for the boys. I've never really gotten into the music myself, but the boys seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. Today is police, fire and rescue, and tommorow is vets/armed forces. By the way our theme next year is Scouting Around the World. If there are any scouts or prior scouts here from any country in the world that could either provide me with some links or info on what or how scouts are organized/events that take place in their respected countries I would greatly appreaciate it.
