Dude, anyone here know alot about Dell computers? I'm using (for a little while) a Dell Inspiron 2600 and want to know if it is a fairly good computer or not. I'm not normaly big on notebook computers, but it was the only computer I could take home that day. The one I have has a 1.2 GHz Pentium Celeron processor, 256 MB of RAM, 20 GB hard drive (I think), 24x CD-R DVD Rom, built in 56K modem, and a built in networking card. To me, this is a bitchin' little computer, compared to my computer, which is an older than dirt Compaq with a 200 MHz Pentium 1 with MMX, 160 MB of RAM, a 2 GB Harddrive, a 30 GB harddrive, a basic 24x CD Rom, and I took out the 56K Modem and dropped in a highspeed networking card so I could use my DSL Modem. On my computer, I could get upto about 100 Kb/s downloads, compared to 300 Kb/s downloads on this laptop. do you think I made a good start at getting a fairly good computer? Any coments are welcome, Thank you.

Wiith a laptop, thats basicly it. Its not going to get an better becuase you cant really upgrade laptops without soldering and getting proprietary parts.
