How much AS3 to put on?

I have a quick question... I just bought the following:
AMD XP1700+ Tbred-B DLT3C JIUHB 1.5V
Thermalright SLK-800(A)
Artic Silver 3 Thermal Compound

I would like to know HOW MUCH AS3 should I put on the processor.. like so it covers the whole thing, and how thick.. and so on. Also, is there any chance I will have any AS3 left over to put on my ATi 9500 Pro.. (gunna remove shim and put AS3 on the chip).

Thanks for the info...

AS3 instructions

They say it should be about the thickness of a sheet of standard paper.
If you have a 3 gram tube you will have plenty for the 9500 and plenty left over after it. From the AS website... "The 3 gram tube contains enough compound to cover at least 20 to 30 small CPU cores, or 7 to 12 large CPU cores, or 3 to 6 heat plates."
