Song that gives you a good vibe
Ok pretty corny thread title, but the subject this weekend seems to be music, so im going to continue this theme
what song that you hear on the radio or TV from the past gives you a great feeling inside. you know what I mean right? takes you back to a time in the past when something was going right, maybe a lady? a summer holiday, something like that?
ill have to pick elton johns, I guess thats why they call it the blues.
I was a kid, I think id had my first kiss from a very cute young lady and I was going to meet her, and this came on the radio and I dont think ive ever felt better in my whole life, id just gotten an ice cream from the fridge and the sun was shining. great song too !
life was good !

'Cold As Ice' by Foreigner! No specific memory but when I first started going out with my mates we always used to put it on the juke box.

Back when I partied alot, we always jammed to just about anything from Metallica, before they went lame. Megadeth too. Also Anthrax.
It's hard to pin down any one song though.
My tastes have mellowed since then, now I like the hard-rockin' techno....or what I call techno-thrash.

yeah I have to agree. I dont like the new album either. I hate the lack of solo work on it and the material generally with the exception of a few decent tracks just sounds like b sides or a vehicle for lars to let go. not sure if Kirk needs some more lessons from Sat to keep the fingers burning.

Don't look Back in Anger by Oasis,
Not a song I particularly like, but every time I hear it, I get taken back to when I was coming of age (being first 'allowed' to drink and be merry with friends)
Happy, happy days!

its funny you said that. some songs I hear I hate, but they give me good feelings of the past, like some 80's terrible pop music....... alot of which was featured in vice city ! I was singing away going, "why the hell am I singing with this crap, I hate it", but it felt good. times when I was younger.
christ im getting old. next thing it will be memory loss.
ok now what was I doing ?

If you can believe it, actually it is a song by someone other than Godsmack. It is Dr. Feelgood by Motley Crue. I know it is a hair metal band but that song came out right as i started to prowl the town and being able to become my own man. Running around chasing every split tail in town and begging for someone 21 to buy you some beer. Never knowing what you might end up doing but always remembering what you did! They actually put that song out again as a live track and it still gives me goosebumps!

I had a hard time deciding between Born To Run and Thunder Road...just depends on my mood really.... and as for "Meeting Across The River" i've had the pleasure of seeing that live back to back with Jungleland twice now (in the last 3 tours)....
