Dow breaks through 8,000 in early Friday trading
Wall Street opened to another huge decline Friday, extending a global sell-off on concerns that even low interest rates won't help end the worsening credit crisis. The Dow Jones industrials broke through 8,000 shortly after the opening bell in New York.

Yah, it popped back up. As it said "early trading." It plummeted right after the open. It's still -250+ for the day.

yeah i watched the opening..... it went down fast... then flew up to something not so hurtfull... but not it's just touching the 8000 mark occasionally dropping below it and above it.

pretty messed up that as soon as dow jones removed AIG and replaced it with KFT, the dow is now a full blown 291 points ABOVE
