Lol, funny thing is people don't realize Stoon, is, in itself, a city, if a small one at that, and with our economy on the up and up it will soon be a sprawling metropolis, welcome and hope you enjoy your stay. I'm willing to bet I know who you are!!!

hi im a scrounger/hoarder and i have lots of old computers lying around my kitchen/lounge/dining room floor. i nearly have all of them working again some are win98 some are 2000. im going thru the xp ones and have reached a hiccup - i have never used/installed a graphics card and ive noticed (much to my distress) this webby isn't idiot-proof enough for me. how do i start a thread or, where do i ask the q's to get the answers? i think my problems also stem from not having an IT thesaurus and worse - no IT background!

I have never formally introduced myself here so I figured now would be a good time to.

I have been writing over the past couple of years. I have come to realize to think positive you have to live positive as well and this took me a very long time to realize and writing about good positive things made me change my whole outlook on life itself which is why I decided to chose this path in life rather than the old warn down path I have traveled over everyday before.

I'm a simple person and I live simple. I believe first impressions mean a lot in this day and age. I'm the kind of guy who would rather sit in the back row as long as I have a good view of things in front of me. Most importantly I like to have fun and make people laugh.

I like to surround myself with good positive and honest people. I like people with a good sense of humor who like to laugh. I don't have time for people who are stuck on themselves and think the worlds owes them everything. I prefer people who are stuck on life and live it to the fullest!


I believe in being true to yourself because this has lead me to be true to others in return. To me there is no greater reward than having a true honest friendship and relationship with true and like minded individuals who actually care about you.

I'm a gracious person and I go out of my way to be nice to people because this is who I have become over the years.. yes there are still caring people running around this universe.

The worst thing you can do is judge people. I enjoy the simple things in life and I am very spiritual in that respect. I enjoy writing in my spare time and sharing my thoughts and philosophies with others.

Like many of you here I am a hardware enthusiast and enjoy building and overclocking in my spare time as well.

Hi, I'm Andy. I've been using computers since before I learned to speak. My first PC was a Commodore 128, which I taught myself BASIC on when I was 7. Since then, I've been writing software, fixing computers, and messing around with all things digital.
I'm a very logical/mathematical person, but I have a lot of respect for written language as well. The Myers/Briggs personality type indicator says I'm an INTJ, which means Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging. On top of that, I have what most people call a unique perspective on everything, being an anarcho-socialist with a disgust for most technologies and humanity in general, since neither follow the natural order of evolution.
I run a few websites, including my home, which I created entirely using Notepad, Paint, and The GIMP. I hate GUI, and if I had my druthers, I'd still be using a text-based environment. Despite that, I believe Windows 7 is the best operating system Microsoft has released. Period. I just hope the final release doesn't screw up bigtime somehow. (And I'd like my Up button in Explorer back, please.)

Okee Dokee. I'm Granny and I'm NEW to this site and forum. So hello to you all ! Not sure if I'm in the right place (Oh by the way, I really am a Grandmother of 7, so I'm not joking here).
About me? Married 42 years to the same poor guy, who puts up with me. 3 married daughters. 2 grandsons, 5 granddaughters. I normally play Half Life, DOD, and some of those types of games (I hate to knit), and since my custom made gaming PC of 5 years decided to bite the dust, I'm using my laptop while my PC guys are rebuilding me another one.
So, in my free time, I've been singing Karaoke online. I like killing games better though. Since this is the Off-topic forum, I guess I'll have to find another forum where I can ask my question.
Anyhow, really nice to meet all of you!
