Hi,
I am new , johnniedoo,(John D.) first post. I just built a nice rig and it was working (and still is) until l put the Win7 install in after just having installed Vista HP 64 as the initial OS as soon as i finished the build a week earlier. went well for a while and then my has had only one focus...Major issue got me here with ati drivers for catalyst control . I hadnt even gotten to check anything out and it froze in basic preset as soon as it opened. Since then Nov.8 at 2pm about i have been able to do nothing but try to fix that problem. Obsessed it the term i think. no eating, only realize i slept when i slide out of the chair and hit the deck or the coffee tips over in my lap, That is how i got here. I still have not been able to get the drivers in or to get ccc manager or installer in to work. it all goes to the support folder and that is it. I can make them work manually and it looks great but the upshot is some dll and a MOM issue comes up 3% from the end of that final install. I am rambling but no sleep and only caffeine to move me along gets me dizzy..I used to have a life of sorts and I still do but it just takes time when issues such as this arise ; i have to be here for the boot/uninstall/reboot etc etc ad nauseum until the final solution works. I am scouring the net for the similar issue close enough to mine so the technique will transfer to my machine. so far close ...but no cigars. I am hoping for something before i just tear it down, change cmos battery wipe out whatever i can and begin the grueling ordeal of getting back to win 7(which is only the OEM upgrade) through vista and then the other junk i accumulated and updated drivers for in the last few weeks since this machine was born and software introduced to it. I will end my first off topic post with the hopes that all new posts will be of a more joyful nature..my birthday is in 2 days 61 (cosmic twin to this bonnie prince charlie). and a prince forever i think. now i must prepare for my next post and back to another attempt to remove drivers , flotsam and jetsam so i can get them back in and working.
