"Pregnant Man" Gives Birth to Girl
Thomas Beatie, the so-called "pregnant man," gave birth Sunday to a healthy baby girl. Despite taking hormones, having his breasts surgically removed, and outwardly living as a man, Beatie had kept his female sex organs in hopes of one day becoming pregnant.

I presume he may be mking some cash out of this situation,So i guess i can see why he (er she) went public.
It's just so weird.

Not so much a "pregnant man", more a "female transvestite" or "bearded lady".
I wonder which toilet door IT uses?
Gents? Ladies? - there isn't one for inbetweens.

The even more messed up with, in my eyes, is that the kids have to grow up in that household thinking that kind of thing is normal and Ok.
It's not. On any level.

Sadly in this case that's probably going to be what that kid ends up living out.
Why can't people leave their bodies alone...

Normal = no

i don't know,
with all the stupid lack of physica disipline vs overboard abuse (people seem to be going from one extreme to the next). Divorces through the roof, families falling appart. etc. and so forth.
There are likely more children happy with same sex parents then there are with the "accepted norm" families.
Why do people insist on thinking that a kid is going to be completely corupted by such a situation?
and lastly, it's thier body, they can do what ever the hell they want with it. It's only a body, nothing more. A massive hunk of flesh, meat, bone concisting of a complicated set of systems.

Regardless of your opinions on the subject of the current state of humanity, I have to disagree with you on that last point. While I believe that to a certain extent that your existentialism is justified, and while to a lesser extent I agree somewhat, the disagreement I have in this is that they chose to inflict it upon the world and that the world continues to make spectacle of something that is a spectacle to begin with and should really just be left alone (and that's not getting into the semantics of who told the media, them or some outside party). I'd draw a parallel to the gay pride parade goes on in Toronto, whereby the gay community is invited to come out and parade in the streets. While I have absolutely nothing against the gay community or people being gay, I don't see why they want to capitalize on it. Sure being unique and different is great, and it sucks that they get picked on and stuff... but there's no heterosexual pride day is there? Same way there is no "kids who got bullied in highschool or shunned because they were different" parade/day/whatever.... ergo, as is becoming the case with this "pregnant man", the message becomes distorted and lost completely and it turns into a horror show. Again parallel to the gay pride day... it becomes a total joke when people begin indecently exposing their genitles and start getting totally outrageous and so on and so forth, Q.E.D. in the case of the pregnant man.
To say anymore on the subject requires taking this discussion perhaps to the flame warzone, but really, I have very little interest in discussing it further. I've expanded upon my comment there being that you seemed to want to reply to it specifically. I'm not trying to pick a fight... I'm just clarifying what I meant when I rhetorically asked "Why can't people leave their bodies alone?"

That is only valid IF they themselves made it a public thing.... as in for celebrity status or dollars... don't realy care..
but as far as simply excisting without trying to draw attention to ones self.... everyone has the right to do whatever they want to thier body..
if we start trying to dimean people simply for trying to do what they like with themselves, imo we've become a pretty sad race of pathetic beings

looks like a girl with a mustache...I wonder if the kid will look the same.
Also, Having a Kid is like #1 on the list of very unmanly things. Its tied with nagging. If this lady was trying to live her life as a man she crashed and burned.
