The Happening

Sucks...

I know I tend to be pretty negative on a lot of things but really watch it. I dare you to pay for it.

Now that's a tough one. The Happening follows the guidelines of a movie but fails at being a movie let alone a movie worth watching.

Lady in the Water fails at not even trying and then somehow failing even more at that.

This is how I would rate it

Steaming pile or donkey sh*t > The Happening > Lady in the Water

Plus in The Happening they say "Happening" Every 10 minutes. I'm not making it up, I timed it in the theater. Also the gory parts are just there, they aren't really incorporated into the movie or even made scary or shocking.

I can't believe you actually payed to see this movie SFOSOK. If so, my opinion of your film tastes is drastically lowered

Me, I'm going to see Incredible Hulk tonight.

I did enjoy this review of the Happening when actually makes it sound so bad that it's worth seeing

Zohan would have been my choice too, had I seen the Hulk. It looks better than Sandlers recent crap.

Agreed, Ridiculous humor is always good in my book. Plus he is actually acting a role other than "Adam Sandler"

Thats why I liked Stranger the Fiction cause Will Ferril didn't act like "Will Ferril"

It's like a combo of a bunch thrillers that have just come out, could just tell from the preview it would be cliche. My guess is over expectation due to hype kills movies these days.

This movie killed itself. Even with no expectation I still would have been disappointed.

Was there even a twist in this movie? The plot was so obtuse and blatantly obvious it was asinine. I can't believe how stupid the script for this movie was. The characters were by turns idiotic, and unconventionally creepy in a Mr. Rogers meets body snatchers kinda way.

His movies are usually more WTF for stupidity than for plot value, but this was just terrible. So many non sequitors, disjointed character interaction, and an ending that wasn't even sensical based on the line of thinking of the movie itself (im not talking about the last scene, per se..).

Sigh.

Thats a good description of it. If you had not mentioned which movie I still would have known which you were talking about. Its really rated R for gore in bad or no taste.
