New Coldplay Single

it's called Violet Hill, and it's completely free off the bands' site this week ( < decent down speed as well just btw)

listened to it a few times, and you know what, it's really good.
they've not done a Radiohead and come up with something mad but brilliant, but it kinda picks up where the last album left off, which is no bad thing imo.
anyways, go get it, its def worth a listen. and its free

I love these internet released singles, between Coldplay and Sam Roberts I can't wait for their next albums.

I'll have to check it out.

I liked "Parachutes" and loved "A Rush of Blood...", but their last album I didn't care for. Either way, it's nice to see some of the bigger bands taking a chance on digital distribution, and even giving away free songs.

didn't Radiohead release figures that said something along the lines that they'd taken more money from their 'free' album than they had from sales of one of the previous ones

it's a while back now, but I'm sure I read that.
and btw seth, X&Y is a great album. some people have no taste
