Stupid/Silly...but Still I Laughed....

I have to set this up if you're not a fan of Brewster Rockit. Most often this comic strip just makes me jeer, sneer, and be thankful that there's actually some of them that are funny.

But, the one that was printed on 1/11/08 caught me totally off guard. I actually found myself laughing at it.

But, to understand it, you have to know what is going on in the series right now. ....

The ship's crew has been put on notice that they have to cut costs. Their mortgage interest rates have gone skyhigh (related to the sub-prime fiasco here in the States) and they're trying to avoid losing their ship.

The 'good' (actually EVIL) Dr. Mel has had to resort to using Budget Robots (when the most popular robot is simply a coat rack with a upside down bucket on its head.)

Anyway, with budget cuts in mind....here's the strip from 1/11/08:

the archive only starts in 2007? is it a new comic strip?

I check the first 5 from that archive and I was laughing. Very good. That deserves a rep point.

Our newspaper, the Atlanta Journal/Constitution [AJC] didn't start carrying it until about a year ago. So, it may be completely new. I'd never heard of it until the AJC started carrying it.

I checked the official site of the artist (different site) and there too there is the same archive, only that above it has a past 90 days archive.
Which is a same, I would love to read all of them. From what I understand he started the strip back in 2004.
