How much do you think this would be worth?
Even though it's essentially useless these days, how much do you think an unopened original version of Windows 3.1 OEM would be worth to an enthusiast?
From what we can see through the shrink wrap, it appears to contain the five 3.5 disks, the manual, a smaller booklet next to the disks and a Certificate of Authenticity on the backside . All still in its original shrink wrap. On the front, it even has its original price tag of $79.95 still on it.
We only thought it might have value because it IS still in its original packaging. That seems to be the kind of things collectors look for.
So.......is it worth anything? How much do you guys think we might be able to get for it?
I can provide pics of the package if anyone cares.

The date on the Certificate of Authenticity says 1-20-1994
Above the UPC on the Certificate of Authenticity, it says: WINDOWS 3.1 AR 3.5 ENG

Antique value is exactly my point.
There's comic books in their original packing selling for hundreds of dollars and they don't even DO anything. This is an OS for a 286/386 type of system....and by the date listed on it, probably close to being one of the final releases of it before Win95 came out.
I would imagine that there is somebody somewhere that would love to get their hands on this. I just have no idea where or who that would be at this time. I HATE EBAY!.....but I'll sell it there...IF I can get anything significant for it.
Then again, I could just lock it away for another 10 or 20 years and ask again.

in 10 years, try multiplying 10 by 20
if you can scrape together components from that time period, you can make alot of money in a museum or something lol

lol..
you'd have to pay most people to get them to take it from you
Now something much older..... that'd be different.... it's going to be awhile yet.. but soon TRS-80's and apple 1/2s and such are going to be worth considerably..... they are already jumping.......

3.1 always looked to me like stale and boring. I was used to TOS and Workbench.
I think I used it for like 5 days in the years I had it.
