Default Post how you all liking Driverheaven?

I didnt want to post this in the feedback section as its more "offical" than in here, and I just wanted an open laid back chat with you all ... how are you all finding the forum, now its been here for around a month?

its had over 8 million hits to this day since opening, and I suppose thats not bad and it appears to be building a steady user base which is also good, but I just want to hear what you guys have to say about it.... speak openly, i dont bite.

has it been worthwhile?

Personally, I have found the site a very useful tool and have recommended it to all my friends. Apart from the technical side I like the oddball humour that the majority of members have and I browse the site at least twice a day. Keep up the good work.

Default Post I think it is going well

I think the site is going well. It is pretty helpful with driver issues, except for the fact that Omega and Cyborg usually put out such good drivers. If you are wanting to be more of a "tech help" site they are going to have to screw more stuff up that needs fixed (please, don't take that suggestion). I also enjoy the off-beat banter and check up on the site a few times a day. I am stearing clear of the flame warzone for now. I just don't seem to have enough pent-up agression and rage to hold my own right now. Life is just going too well. lol

Good job.

Well even though you said not to take that comment about screwing up drivers seriously, it seems to be happening with these stupid 6093 drivers, which are more alpha than beta in my opinion, ATI screwed up the capture support. (AIW Cards)

I will keep working on it, but it will probably take longer than I originally thought, before I did extensive testing.

I have a few Idea's, but it will take a while still.

About the forum....I like it, except for the most hated member of all.....Chris Goodrich. LOL. .

I like the site and since most are Rage3d transplants I know a great many. As a matter of fact I'm finding myself here more than at Rage3d as of late. Keep up the great work guys and Cyborg don't sweat the 6093 drivers, your last set are working on my rig quite well at this time.

Hmmm...

Well besides the tyranical moderating staff that tends to kill ANY good conversation, AND force their ideals down your throught, its great! The administraitor tends to be a really creepy guy too...im serious I think hes like some 12 yearold kid hiding behind a dell monitor and a broadband connection. Its kinda sad.

LOL okay now to be serious.

Yeah I love this forum. Seriously this place has been awesome. I think its great how I can just go and post about some problem I'm having on Linux, or windows, or whatever...and then turn around and tell everyone something really cool and random in the off topic forum. Its just freakin awesome.

The one thing is that I disapoints me is actually less with the SITE and more with myself. I havent been able to help out in the ATI forums as much anymore. I use to be able to help people fix their problems, but now someone else always gets to it before I do and generally has better advice than mine. Sooo that kinda sucks. I like to help out, but I cant as well anymore. I suppose I should help out in the linux forum, but im still pretty wet behind the ears as far as getting linux to work. its so hit-and-miss for me. One distro works perfectly, whereas another one fails badly(and never the same results on different computers).

Anyway I've been here for about a year now I think, and I intend on staying here for awhile longer.

edit: Oh yeah and about that humor...THATS the sort of thing that got my title changed to "peeping tom" and "ladykiller".
