How Many Remote Controllers Do You Have?
I just had to dig through my canister of remote controllers to find the one that goes to my Zenith TV. In this small canister, I have SIX separate controllers for various appliances. That's not counting one I keep on my desk for the TV I usually watch, nor does it count the controller for my A/C window unit. So, I've got EIGHT battery-powered controllers right at arm's length.
How many do you have handy?

I've got a ton, but only use 1: a Logitech Harmony 1000.
And no... I didn't pay for it. It was a bribe from a client... literally, it was to keep my mouth shut about something really, really bad he did, and didn't want to tell his boss about. Or rather, he didn't want ME to tell his boss about this really, really bad thing or else I'd be reading his obituary.
So... how was I to refuse such a.. gift.. from someone in such dire peril?

OK, I'm really, really lazy!!!
i have one in my work desk drawer, it's for a floor stand fan that sits about 10 feets away from the desk and use this fan all the time when air-con has not cool the room enough yet.
i think i have quite a bit of remote controll units, but i don't use the rest of them very often.

I bought a Logitech Harmony 880. It replaced 5 remotes. (Of course I answered "one" for this poll)

Erm lesse, we've got the TV Remote, the Cable box remote, the AV Amp remote, the DVD Player remote and the VCR Remote.
that's 5 not including the spare TV one we have to use sometimes when the batteries die in the main tv remote

I have the Harmony 550 which replaced about 5 other remotes. Buying a Harmony remote makes a lot more sense than buying a crappy cheap remote from Wal-Mart that "might" work with all you devices. Plus, setting up macros on the Harmony is cool.
