We Need Rain! Historic Drought in S. USA
Over the past week, several ordinances have been passed making it now illegal, except in very, very rare cases, for anyone to use outdoor watering systems or to even wash their cars or water their flowerbeds.
Rainfall for this year has been less than half the normal rainfall.
Our area's main source of drinking water, Sydney Lanier Lake, is estimated to presently hold only three months worth of water supply.
Our Governor has asked for people to take shorter showers and help conserve our limited water supply.
With over 5.1 million people living in the Greater Metro Atlanta area, it doesn't take long to use up millions and millions of gallons of water.
We need rain!
