"The Kingdom"
It's a really good movie. I really recommend that you guys watch it in theatres while it's still playing.
it has a really good intro, the plot is well played out, the action scenes are incredible, and the ending just awesome.
in a nutshell, the movie portrays current events of the middle east, and how those events have come to be what they are today.

I was really excited about seeing this flick and almost went to an advanced screening but when I read the reviews on rottentomatoes I lost interest. They're unanimous in their criticism and it only has a 50% rating.

So shameless is The Kingdom, ignoring consequence and treating its audience like cash-dispensing machines with buttons to be pushed rather than thinking individuals willing to consider the reality of America's entanglement with the Middle East.

One electrifying performance becomes the only saving grace of The Kingdom, a goofy action movie that tries to marry the blitzkrieg entertainment of Rambo to the cultural consciousness of Syriana.

Whether or not Americans are ready for a popcorn thriller about real-life terrorism is yet to be seen. But that's basically the sort of solid, episodic-TV level at which the film operates.
|
I still want to see it though I'll wait for the DVD.

It is absolutely accurate in most details, Three Kings, though very inaccurate is another movie of interest.

The trailers pointed me towards the garbage bin and I'm not looking forward to the DVD release. But I'll probably see it as I am curious about if Jamie Foxx really did end up in a downright bad movie.

have to agree with that as well...and Kingdom of Heaven...but it has slash cut cut slash instead of bangy bangy shooty boom... of course that is just my technical spin on it.

There's a directors cut edition of Kingdom of Heaven that supposedly portrays some characters better but I've yet to see it. A very entertaining movie in spite of the load of historical flaws. While disappointing I find it much easier to oversee with such flaws when there's little possibility of a political agenda being behind it, but rather a screw history let's make this more fun policy.

Its Orlando Bloom isnt it...I mean, look at all the movies he has been in? My girl loves his movies and frankly he will be as funny and entertaining as any of the other wanna be actors like Brad Pitt (phones begin ringing).
