would anybody care?
if i died right now? probably.
would anybody still care a year later? not sure, but all things point to no.
meh, time moves on, and time heals all wounds, and as time moves on, so does life.
time however, will not be able to cure the scars and everybody will still remember me for who i was....

i find temporary happyness in materialistic items. once i have it, and know what it does, i go back to the same slums i was in.
i don't want temporary happyness, i want to always be happy. seems to me though, that it won't be happening anytime soon though...

CD if your feeling helpless, down or powerless or simply bummed out, talking to someone face to face helps a great deal. Surely there is someone that can help you get some perspective, or even be a worthy companion. I have never been really depressed personally. I have always worked with unfortunate or disabled people that need my help to become independent. I felt so fortunate and I guess I count my blessings. Perhaps you could count yours as well. Do some personal inventory and focus on what you can change, what you cant change you must accept, and have the courage to change those things that you can, and move on from where you are emotionally.
If that doesnt work mate, or your not satisfied at first with trying to cope, find professional help or talk to clergy. A little spirituality goes a long way, even if you dont believe in God. I learned the hard way only when I was faced with the prospect of someone trying to kill me or shoot me. My service in the military convinced me that we all have brighter futures somewhere else as long as we drew our azimuth from our present position on our life map and chose a course in a new direction. The undiscovered country might be your own soul, your own grasp of your place in this world might change. I know it sounds corny, but your fellow members here have all been through so much and we can all give you examples of how we survived or overcame something difficult. But you need to talk to someone you respect, or love or believe in. Strangers are okay I guess, but be wary.
We all have to accept change and sooner or later we all must make difficult choices, the least of which is getting off our butts and moving on emotionally. I have loads of suggestions mate, but if you dont have a goal everyday or in the near future to improve something, achieve something or just taking a break, you need to make one...sometimes that can be the light at the end of the tunnel.
Hang in there.

what kind of question is that, CDsDontBurn?,
i think i have seen you like this before, so are you always or often having bad feelings or feeling down about things happening around yourself?
if yes, you need some or some more discipline in your life, and if you think you already had that, then you need professional help.
or otherwise you will always have this same feelings that you have now about yourself, it is a matter of more or less, and this is based on my experience with a few kids i used to take care in the past years.

This is how I see things, and it helps me, so perhaps it will help you too.
To answer with a single word, depends. If you have kids, parents, people that depend on you financialy or emotionaly, then yes, you will be missed. If not, then you will probably not be missed, at least not in the way you (I think) mean it.
For happiness. The more I tried to achieve happiness the more I couldn't do it. The reason is very similar to what you mentioned earlier about materialist items. You spend all this time and effort to reach a goal so difficult and so up there, that when (if) you do manage to reach it, you say to yourself, "that's it?".
I have found the trick is to enjoy the small things. From a nice launch, to a good fart. From a fun game, to some sex. Going out and enjoy the sky, look at it, don't think anything, just look at it for a couple of min.
You also can try to locate what you want. What is it that your heart desires, not to make you happy, but simply desire. If you set a broad goal like "be happy" doom is in the way. Think small, that way you will be able to achieve big.
Oh, and have low expectations from life, that helps. Or better yet no expectations. Just try to do what is the best for you for any situation, or at least, the most fun.
No one has to agree with the above.

you guys think far too much, get out there and enjoy yourself instead of moping around in a bedroom. Do something productive or create something, sure way to help ease the blues.
You ever get that power supply we sent you in the competition CDs?
