Would be cool to have some of those "cameras" with build in automatic weapon like in Half Life. Of course it wouldn't be so cool if you forgot to activate them. Or if your mother in law comes for a visit and you forget to switch it off.

Street was getting re-paved and I had left my Ipod in my father's car down the street. My camaro didn't get hit but they shattered his back passenger window. They got away with his camcorder, laptop, and my ipod.

Felt very shitty but I am very carefull where I park now and its never happened. Never leave anything in the open when you leave your car.

Well.. well.. some stupid scumbag broke into my buddies place (not the one hardcore military guy.. oh well) yesterday. Stole his kids DS, all the jewelry including a few that were heirlooms... anything light and portable.

What's interesting about this is that he came home when they were in the house, but he actually never went into the house for 20 minutes. When he finally decided to go in he noticed that a door that was closed before was now open.

Hard part was explaining the situation to my children, who have never been in this situation. Very uncomfortable for me to do, having to explain why some jerk would take someone elses things and bill money.

I really wish punishment was much more strict with this kind of crime. They talk about "gateway" drugs, and throw the book at those who get caught with them, but what about gateway crime. My guess is most violent criminals start out with this sort of "petty theft", and evolve into something worse.
it must be terrible having something that nice stolen from you right under your nose,
i'd say i know what it's like but i don't wanna in case it sounds like a shallow comment

i say you hunt the little cunts down and beat the living shit out of them,
that would be more effective than any jail sentence
