Friday the 13th
Ok it's 3 minutes past midnight and i probably should be asleep
but it's Friday the 13th - what are people's thoughts/superstitions on such a day?
Btw iirc the history of this dates back to Good Friday - Jesus was crucified on friday the 13th

I'm thinking about putting on a hockey mask and going on a murderous rampage throughout the local camp grounds. Either that or my might watch Man vs. Wild, that Bear Grylls is one tough dude.

it's just another day for me. my youngest sister was born on a friday 13th many full moons ago though.
@ vikingod: i like watching "survivor man" much more than "man vs. wild" simply because Less is his own camera man. Bear has somebody following him around with a camera. Not nearly as hard. although, i do wonder what his camera man has to go through while Bear is doing whatever it is he is doing.

Either way, its pretty impressive. Especially when you concider that only a few years ago, Bear was crippled with his back broken in three spots. Both men have done some pretty interesting stuff in their days. I watch and love both shows for different reasons. Anyway, back on topic.
Does anyone/ any culture make a big deal out of Friday the 13th? Around here, its pretty much become a campy, joking representation of the "unluckiest day of year". I wasn't aware of the religious nature of it.
Then again, being dragged out of your house and crucified could be classified as unlucky, so it's fitting, I suppose.

When I was a kid, it was the day of the year when they aired a lot of horror movies like "Pet Cemetery" and such.

Im not allowed to mention friday the 13th in my house. I wrote off a car about 8 years ago and was inches from death. Im now banned from saying that date or ever buying a silver car again LOL. I'm not suspicious but apparently my soon wife to be is.

When I was younger I used to believe Friday the 13th was the luckiest day of the year for me and good things always happened to convince me it was true. Now, it's just another day.

Other than one friday 13th when I experience both substantial bad and good luck it's always been just another day. Now this time it happens to be the last workday before vacation, and I've got an important phone call to make. Hmm...

Saw this on yahoo!, it gives an explaination as to why "Black Friday" gets marked as such. Amusing stuff.

Ain't superstitious...
but I was "down-sized" on Friday the 13th about a year and a half ago.
Ever since I don't particularly care for the day.

I just heard on radio that 1/3 of Czech people consider F13th unlucky day. They asked some guy on his opinion - he said he canceled a date because he was afraid he would fail in the "later in the evening" phase due to today being F13th...
