Do You Dream?
First of all, I do. In fact, I dream so much I've told people that if I don't dream I feel I've wasted a night just sleeping. Some of my dreams are so vivid it takes me a little while after waking up to realize that I was dreaming.
In fact, I've even dreamt that I was dreaming. Woke up, started getting dressed for the day only to discover that I was dreaming of getting dressed for the day and needed to actually wake up.
(Maybe I'm dreaming now, who knows? LOL )
Recently, I was sharing a dream I had and have had others tell me they don't dream at all. Now, I do believe them but, since I dream so much, it's hard to accept that there can be anyone who never dreams.
So, in the poll, let's find out how many dream often, occasionally, rarely, not at all.
If you want to share a dream, please feel free to do that, too.

No.. it's quite funny, actually. It would be embarrassing if you were falling in pink, flowered, or soiled boxers though.

On Monday afternoon I had 3 twisted violent dreams.
First one I was trapped in burning building, I made it out and sent a TXT to this girl I really like saying that I was out OK because she knew i was inside. However she wrote me back saying she was about ready to die in a fire in another place.......
Second one was really funky....A guy hard a rabbit in a net bag tied to his toe. I believe he was a magician. I am not sure what happened exactly but he picked up the bag and started stuffing it w/ seasonings and veggies. He then started just munching away on the rabbit. It was nasty and people around were horrified..
The third one I dont even remember, but i believe it had to do w/ slicing and dicing w/ swords kill bill style...
I dont normally have violent dreams but they do effect me when i wake up, and I also believe they kinda forecast your doom. Since Ive had these dreams, the girl I dreamed about in the first one totally stopped talking to me because her bf all the sudden decided we werent allowed to talk anymore even though we had been close friends for 3.5 months (tuesday night) and I got caught in a cold very heavy downpour loading up boxes and had to goto work right after(wednesday morning.) Wednesday night at work i tried to talk to the girl again and she totally blew me off it was like she was a different person and I also found out one of my exes i was with for like 4 years is going to be getting married.......Kinda freaky

"Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives."
Oddly enough, that's a quote from William Dement.. as in.. demented.

i dream occasionally.
i haven't had a dream in a little while though.
the earliest dream i remember having though, i was about 2 or 3 years old, and i we lived in some appartments out in hollywood. at the time, i had a fasination with trains. well, in my dream, i specifically remember that a train had crashed through the bedroom window. i woke up crying, cuz c'mon, how many little kids have such violent dreams? i woke up my parents and they asked me what happened. all they could do was laugh after i had told them.
but yea, that's my earliest dream that i can remember.

Hah... Well I was only using sarcasm on that dream, but I do in fact happen to own pink and/or flowered boxers from abercrombie and fitch .....
Anyways I have occasional scifi/fantasy dreams, probably and adverese effect of playing MMOs and Console RPGs like a fanatic....

When I'm stressed at work, I dream a lot about work, which actually is great. Because it's a warning sign from my body, that i need to relax

My last job I had, I would dream about it on a constant basis for about 8 months. It was so scary there because they made you think if you knocked over you soda in the break room you were going to get fired lol.
I have some good creative dreams
Examples:
One day when I was living in Colorado, I had a dream that I was in an air port. Unfortunately we got hit by a nasty blizzard, so I had to sleep there overnight. All of the benches were crammed full of people, so I had to find another spot to sleep. So I move a bunch of random items together to make myself a bed. While moving things in my dream, I was "aware" of my surroundings, and I knew what I was doing, but I was moving all of my bedroom around. I completely saw the airport but was knowingly moving around my things. So when I woke up, I'm like wow that was wierd.
Another one, when I lived in a town of 560, I had found myself running killers (or lines) for basketball practice. I woke myself up running full speed back and forth in between my yard and the neighbors running back and forth in my boxers. I then quietlly walked inside and went back to sleep.
I dream every night, but not always do I remember. Last nights dream was odd, I walked from nebraska to colorado running from a crazy indian trying to whip us. So I ran and I hid up in the hills and ended up in colorado somehow. Then after leaving my aunt and uncles house, I ended up meeting up w/ my immediate family to take my niece and nephew to some disney expo. Somewhere along the line I lost my shoe so I was walking around shoeless then found a bottle and used that as a shoe. It then turned 6:15 so I woke up.

I love having nightmares & waking up, chest pounding but the last couple of dreams have been about me being possesed & involved harm to family members & that really sh*t me up! I ended up cuddling up to the missus & not being able to get back to sleep for half an hour.
I also sometimes suffer from sleep paralysis where I will start to wake but find I cant move & there will be this crazy earsplitting sound in my head which is a kind of amixture of the sound of blood pumping around your head / ear area & screaming & it feels like my head is about to explode. Sometimes I ride it out & it stops or I'll try & struggle free after a few seconds but combined with the possesion dreams it's feckin crazy & I wake up in a sweat! There is a scientific explanation but it scary nonetheless!

speaking of dreams, i had a dream tonight.
i was at work holding some paperwork that i had to turn in and there was some guy talking to the accountant. since they were taking forever, i started walking around the building. right before i was woken up, i was standing in front of the double doors that leads to the warehouse of the building.

I dream when I get a chance to sleep. Actually, dreaming is a normal part of sleeping. It occurs every night you sleep, for about 2 hours a night during REM. The main thing is if you remember it or not.
My personal favorite type is Lucid dreaming (where you can control the dream) and Deja Vu. It happens very rarely to me anymore, though it was common when I was younger, typically during a recurring dream (or nightmare). I do still get that Deja Vu feeling on occation though, which freaks me out a bit.

During the last year or so I've been dreaming very often and vividly. Usually about everyday matters and less about strange things that has probably been more frequent in the past. Thinking back at my last few years I wouldn't be surprised if a part of my emotional brain center is slowly rewiring itself for the better. But when a long dream has felt so real it takes too much time to figure out that I really need to wake up, often leading to excessive snoozing.
Speaking of sleep paralysis I've had a more or less recurring theme of impaired mobility ever since I was a kid. Way back it was more like a feeling of running in mud which I guess is pretty common, and in later years it's developed into a habit of using any kind of wheel based contraptions(even improvised) when moving faster than walking speed. I guess it could be so simple as it's hard work kicking the bed around at night.

I've had a really similar one once which starts the same but then goes on with me doing an entire (and hard) days work, having dinner and getting ready for bed before I awoke from this dream. I was absolutely shattered. It was like doing two days work
Anyhow, I dream occasionally but go through spells of dreaming every night. I can wake myself from dreams and have the power to control my dreams when I realise I am dreaming. All my dreams are vivid.
